Brand assets

Argus uses one visual idea across its public surfaces: four fact coordinates pass through a registration gate, and the source coordinate completes the record. The mark represents ENTITY, DATE, METRIC, and SOURCE; it is not a chart, trading signal, or generic AI network.

Positioning

  • Product name: argus
  • Product subtitle: Agent-Readable Financial Data Layer
  • Interface description: Structured financial facts for AI agents · CLI + Skill · MCP · REST
  • Pitch: Cited financial facts, structured for AI agents.

Core identity

Argus brand header

Use the dark wordmark on graphite surfaces, the light wordmark on pale paper, and the monochrome version when color reproduction is unavailable. The compact registration mark can stand alone only where the product name is already visible or where a square application icon is required.

Technical visual language

ENTITY, DATE, METRIC, and SOURCE registration gate

Diagrams and campaign images must preserve the product boundary: show cited facts, source lineage, time, governance, and machine interfaces. Do not use candlestick charts, gain/loss arrows, portfolio dashboards, robots, glowing brains, money, or automated-trading imagery.

Published deliverables

  • Browser identity: /favicon.svg, /favicon.ico, /apple-touch-icon.png.
  • Wordmarks and marks: /media/brand/. The 512 px square PNG is the search/structured-data logo; it is generated from the formal dark-surface mark.
  • Default Open Graph, GitHub preview, and video poster: /media/social/.
  • Clean and typeset campaign crops in 16:9, 1:1, 4:5, and 9:16: /media/campaign/.
  • Platform-safe vertical lockups: /media/campaign/launch-9x16-stories.jpg, launch-9x16-reels.jpg, and launch-9x16-tiktok.jpg.
  • Channel headers: /media/social/headers/ for X, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
  • Reproducible current website, CLI, MCP, and DataPackage screenshots: /media/screenshots/.
  • Accessible technical diagrams: /diagrams/.

The default social-image alternative text is: “Argus registration gate aligning cited financial facts for AI agents.”

Rebuilding raster deliverables

From website/, run npm run build:brand. The command uses the formal /media/brand/argus-wordmark-dark.svg as the only wordmark source, renders it with the repository-pinned Playwright browser, and uses only repository-pinned, OFL-licensed Latin, CJK, and Devanagari fonts under assets/brand/fonts/ for all other text. The same renderer uses the formal argus-mark-dark.svg for browser icons, so the wordmark and standalone mark each have one vector source of truth. Install website dependencies and the pinned Chromium browser before running the command (npm ci and npx playwright install chromium); uv installs the explicit brand dependency group declared by the build command.

Run npm run build:screenshots to rebuild the six product screenshots from the current production Astro output. The capture writes /media/screenshots/manifest.json with the package version, Registry version, tool count, public-interface list, source signature, dimensions, and SHA-256 for every image. npm run verify:screenshots fails when authority data, screenshot sources, files, hashes, minimum dimensions, or the public architecture drift. Do not retouch version numbers or interface labels in a bitmap.

The generated favicon.svg is a self-contained browser asset: the build copies the formal mark geometry without modification, then adds only the graphite tile and optical padding required at favicon sizes. Do not edit its mark paths by hand.

The build validates the font SHA-256 digests before writing any deliverable. There is intentionally no checked-in PNG derivative of the formal wordmark, so an SVG change cannot leave newly generated campaign or social images on an old wordmark revision.

The editable source plates are the project-owned SVG files under assets/brand/source/. The build renders them at 3840×2160 and 2160×3840 before making smaller deliverables, so paid and high-density digital assets are never upscaled from a sub-resolution portrait bitmap. The hashes, authoring toolchain, rights basis, and paid-media release condition live in assets/brand/source/asset-manifest.json; no external image-generation or stock license is part of this chain.

Localized, section-specific Open Graph cards live under /media/social/og/{locale}/. Every localized page selects the card for its own language and top-level section; these generated cards use the same reviewed copy sources as the website.

github-social-preview.jpg is the repository-preview deliverable and must be selected in the repository hosting settings after a release. video-poster.jpg is the launch-film poster. The campaign *-clean.jpg files are text-free plates for partner copy. The matching root files without -clean are the canonical English lockups; localized lockups live under /media/campaign/{locale}/.

Do not reuse one 9:16 file across vertical platforms. Stories, Reels, and TikTok have distinct generated lockups: their pitch, interface line, and usable width remain above the lower interaction overlays, and the TikTok file also reserves the right-side control rail. The canonical launch-9x16.jpg uses the Stories safe profile for conservative general preview use.

Publishing copy, CTA, hashtags, UTM conventions, asset routing, and master-file release gates are defined in docs/social-launch-kit.md.
